Abstract：Objective To investigate the production rate of female Aedes albopictus in Guangzhou,and provide scientific basis for Aedes albopictus control.Methods Adults of Aedes albopictus were captured at the monitoring point in Guangzhou,the ovary of females were dissected and observed under stereoscope.Results The production rate was lower in March,April and December,higer from July to October,and the average production rate was 88.74％.Its peak appeared in August,up to 90.8％.Conclusion In order to prevent and control dengue fever,it is the important time to control the density of Aedes albopictts,when production rate of female Aedes albopictus is getting higher.
