The inhibition of S-methoprene wettable powder on the eclosion of fly larvae in fly-traps

Abstract：Objective To observe the inhibition effect of S-methoprcne wettable powder on the eclosion of fly larvae in fly-traps.Methods Attracting method of fly-traps was used.Results The eclosion inhibition rates by S-methoprene wettable powder at the concentrations of 10,50 and 100 mg/kg were 17.97％,74.42％ and 91.76％ respectively.The effects of the three concentrations were significantly different (x2 =302.653,P ＜ 0.05).The 100 mg/kg concentration displayed the best effect.The flies died in prepupal period,pupalperiod and emergence period,and mostly in pupal period accounted for 68.28％.Conclusion The inhibition effect on the eclosion of fly larvae in fly-traps was obvious with 100 mg/kg S-methoprene wettable powder.
