Abstract:Objective To investigate the composition and distribution of fleas in different natural and geographical conditions in Liaoning Province. Methods The principle and method of ecology, geography and animal form taxonomy were employed in the survey. Results 47 species of flea, belonging to 23 genera,6 family, distributed over Liaoning Province. The fleas included 6 Chinaendemic species,6 worldwide species and 4 provincial species.18 species of 15 genera fleas were found distributing in Liaodong mountain foot hills needle broad-leaved mixed forest,17 species of 13 genera in Liaodong peninsula akamatsu oak forest district,19 species of 16 genera in Liaohe Plain meadow steppe community,13 species of 11 genera in Liuhe River sand dunes thicket meadow steppe,8 species of 7 genera in Western Liaoning Binhai terraced farmland-meadow steppe,15 species of 12 genera in Western Liaoning hills of pinus tabulaeformis oak forests district, and 30 species of 18 genera in the hilly terraces of Nuru erhushan. Conclusion The natural environment consists of various ecological elements.Fleas, like other ecological elements, were an integral part of the environment, and their reproduction and distribution were affected by other ecological factors and constraints.
