Application of mosq-ovitrap method in mosquito monitoring in a Garden

Abstract：Objective To analyze the monitoring situation of mosquitoes in a garden from March to November in 2016,and explore the applicability of mosquito monitoring method in density monitoring of Aedes albopictus.Methods The mosquito ovitraps were placed in the gardens from March to November of 2016,and the distance between the ovipositories of each monitoring point was above 25 m,and the correlation analysis was made with the traditional index.Results A total of 1 800 mosquito ovitraps were placed,1 663 retrieved,1 643 effective,314 positive,and the mosquito ovitrap index was 19.1 1.Mosquito oviposition index correlated some with adult mosquito density,little with standard space index.Conclusion The method of mosquito ovitrap monitoring plays an important role in the density monitoring of Aedes mosquitoes.
