HPLC analysis of four insecticides in soil

Abstract：Objective To establish high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the determination of permethrin,cypermethrin,chlorpyrifos and imidacloprid.Methods Quantitative analysis of the active ingredient was conducted using a ODS-C18 chromatographic column,a variable wavelength UV detector at UV 220 nm,methanol-acetonitrile-water=70:21:9(by vol) as the mobile phase with the flow rate of 1.0 ml/min.Resuits The developed method was linear over the range assayed (5-50 mg/L),with determination coefficients ≥0.999 7 and the limits of detection between 0.04 and 0.60 mg/L.The recoveries for all the pesticides studied were from 89％ to 102％ with relative standard deviation(RSD) from 2.1％ to 4.1％ in the concentration range of 5-50 mg/kg.Conclusion This method was an ideal method of analysis with the advantages of fast,simple,high accuracy,high accuracy and good linearity.
