Advances in cockroach control by Beauveria bassiana

Abstract：Cockroaches are important world-wide pest,both of high resistance of cockroach tosynthetic chemical insecticides and the toxicity of chemical insecticides to humans and other non-target organisms emphasize the importance of the study in other sustainable approaches to effectively control cockroach population development.Beauveria bassiana as,an entomogenous fungi highly pathogenic to insects and safe for warm-blooded animals and plants,is one of the most widely used insect fungal pathogens and has been extensively studied,while its' use in health pests control has been limited.Based on the summary of infection,spread,factors affecting virulence and lethal mechanisms of Beauveria bassiana,this paper reviews advances in cockroach control by Beauveria bassiana to supply some help for exploring the new methods for control cockroaches.
