Investigation on flies in Luoyang City in 2014

Abstract：Objective To know the density of flies and their seasonal dynamics in Luoyang City,and provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of flies.Methods Cage trapping method was employed in the investigation.Results The flies captured included Musca domestica,Lucilia sericata,Chrysomya megacephala,Sarcophagidae and Aldrichina graham.The average density was 13.78 insects per cage in Luoyang City in 2014.The seasonal fly peak occurred in July and August.There was little difference compared with previous years.Conclusion In order to reduce the density of flies,it is necessary to make scientific prevention and control strategies.
