Medical vector control in tropical artificial islands

Abstract：In tropic artificial island,the climate is very hot,high humid,salty and strong ultraviolet radiation and the ecologic environment is fragile.It was beneficial to mice,cockroaches and flies breeding and reproduction that thousands of developers worked together and outputted types of garbage.The medical vector population structure and ecological habit showed unique characteristics.The chances of crowd simultaneously infecting several vector borne diseases were very high.Because of climate,chemical insecticide effect didn't last long,and medical vector control was difficult.In order to control medical vector well,knowledge education and full-crew mobilization were conducted,medical vector bio-surveying was strengthened,physical isolation methods were combined with chemical control measures.Canteen,toilet and domestic waste management were emphatically enhanced.Chemicals were applied scientifically.
