The trapping effect of the termite monitoring device

Abstract：Objective To investigate and estimate the trapping effect of monitoring devices for termites installing in summer and winter.Methods Observing the termite trapping rate of devices installing in active season and inactive season of termites.Results The results of the first inspection of termites in summer and winter were 31.29％ and 7.31％,respectively.the difference was significant,the results of the first five inspections were significantly higher than that of winter installation.From the beginning of the 6th inspection,the difference of the rate of of termite in summer and winter was not significant,57.09％ and 53.82％ of termite detection in summer and winter were respectively installed.After 12 times of one year inspection,the rate of termite in summer and winter was basically consistent,which were 74.75 ％ and 75.42 ％ respectively.Conclusion In a short time period,the trapping effect of devices installing in active season of termites was better than in inactive season,while in a long time period,the difference was little.It was suggested that the installation could be arranged in termite active seasons when termite infestation was serious and urgent control was in need.
