Abstract:Objective To understand the distribution and population composition of ticks in Changji State.Methods Tick flag over vegetation,sampling on domestic and wild animals were applied for tick collection.Tick identification was carried out in the field and laboratory according to references.Results A total of 600 ticks were collected and identified,belonging to 21 species,7 genera,2 families.Ixodes persulcatus was the dominant vector of Lyme borreliosis in mountainous areas of Manas County and Hutubi County.Conclusion This study provides important information on distribution and population composition of ticks in Changji State.The data will be helpful for management and prevention of tick-borne diseases.
