Analysis on cockroach monitoring in Panzhihua City from 2010 to 2016

Abstract:Objective To understand the distribution and seasonal growth of the cockroaches in the urban area of Panzhihua City,so as to formulate effective preventive and control measures according to the survey data.Methods Using sticky capture method for monitoring.The monitoring work was conducted in three districts of the city.Habitats as farmers markets,hotels,restaurants,hospitals and residential areas were selected to monitor,and the monitoring points were relatively fixed.Results From 2010 to 2016,the annual average density of cockroaches in Panzhihua City was 0.46 insects per board,the average annual rate of invasion was 18.1 1%.Blattella germanica accounted for 83.26%,which was the dominant species in the region,while the proportion of nymphs was higher,accounting for 50.59% of the total.Cockroaches were found throughout the year,and the density peak appeared in July and August.The average density and average rate of abuse of cockroaches in the farmers' market were the highest in seven years,which were 0.78 insects per board and 26.13% respectively.Conclusion Blattella germanica was the dominant species in Panzhihua.Farmers markets were important habitat of cockroaches,the monitoring and control in farmers markets should be strengthened.
