Vector surveillance of mosquito-borne dengue fever and risk assessment in Zunyi

Abstract:Objective To investigate the epidenfic trend of imported dengue fever and vector surveillance in Zunyi in 2016,and provide scientific evidence for the prevention and control of dengue.Methods The data of dengue incidence in Zunyi were collected from national disease reporting information system,and data of the vector surveillance were collected in the same period of time.Descriptive analysis was conducted.Results The breteau indexes(BI) ranged from 0 to 37.70,37.70 in October.Adult mosquito respectively 0.39 insects/h (Aedes albopictus accounted for 9.60%),1.97 insects/night (Aedes albopictus accounted for 33.67%),0.17 insects/h (Aedes albopictus accounted for 9.86%).Reported dengue cases in 2016 were imported infected in Southeast Asian.There were no cases of local infection and the second generation.Conclusion The risk of dengue fever in Zunyi exists.It is necessary to assess the risk of dengue fever and incorporate other relevant according to the Breteau index and Aedes mosquito density.
