Occurrence and damage status of Coptotermes in Jiangsu Province

Abstract：Damage of Coptotermes stood the second based on the distribution,damage and quarantine in Jiangsu Province.The main invasive ways of Coptotermes included importing timber,carrying goods,tree seedling transplantation from other regions in this province.Among of them,complete Coptotermes nest could be carried by the last way as mentioned above so that it was the easiest way to successful colonization in invaded regions.Therefore,quarantine departments and termite control institutions should strengthen cooperation to investigate the termite species and manage their population under the economic threshold.
