Abstract:Objective To isolate and identify the bacteria from the surface of Musca domestica and Lucilia sericata adults of a fishing village in Rizhao,China. Methods The surfaces of adult flies were washed with sterile water, the eluted bacteria cultured with LB culture medium. The DNAs of isolated bacteria were extracted, and 16S rDNA fragments were amplified through general PCR,and the 16S rDNA sequences were blasted with bacteria sequences in NCBI.Results The numbers of bacteria detected from female and male Musca domestica adults were similar, and so of Lucilia sericata. The number of bacteria isolated from one Musca domestica and Lucilia sericata adults were about 1.2× 105 and 1.8× 106,respectively.11 genus bacteria were isolated from Musca domestica adults,9 genus bacteria from female Lucilia sericata adults and 8 genus bacteria from female adults. Conclusion Some opportunistic human bacteria were isolated from the surface of Musca domestica and Lucilia sericata adults, and the bacteria might cause infectious disease to people in particular situations. So the environmental management and fly control should be strengthened.
