Investigation on flies at Qingdao Seaport

Abstract：Objective To understand the species,population structure,seasonal fluctuation of flies at Qingdao Seaport,and provide scientific basis for fly control.Methods The cage entrapment method was used in the investigation from April of 2010 to November of 2013.Results 10 011 flies belonging to 9 species 9 genera 4 families were collected.The dominant species were Musca domestica,Muscinan stabulans and Lucilia sericata,respectively accounting for 41％,32％ and 15％.Conclusion It is necessary to know species density,population structure and seasonal fluctuation of flies for better control work.
