Discussion on the evaluation of termite damage degree

Abstract：The termites distribute widely in China,and cause serious hazards.The scientific evaluation of termite damage degree is one of the important contents of termite control.Based on the current condition of termite damage evaluation system in China,and in combination with the compilation of the national standard "Standard for termite damage evaluation",this article analyzes the termite species found in buildings,landscape plants and water conservancy projects,their ways of damage,the inspection methods of termite damage,the demarcation criterion for the termite damage degree and so on.This article proposes that when the degree of termite damage is evaluated,the species of termite,the population density,the damaged objects,the range of hazards,the potential risk and other factors should be taken into consideration,and the degree of termite damage to buildings,landscape plants and water conservancy projects are suggested to be ranked by three grades.
