Wavelet analysis with Matlab for cockroach density in Chengdu City

Abstract：Objective To analyze the time series of indoor cockroach density by wavelet analysis on Chengdu national vector monitoring site of nine years,and get variation trend.Methods Urban and suburban's monthly density data were continuous transformed by Morlet complex wavelet during 2007-2015 respectively as well as to calculate coefficients.Results An 18 month main oscillation periodicity was found from the cockroach density of Chengdu.urban's wavelet coefficients was-2.147 3 + 3.213 li-13.385 2 + 2.764 0i;suburban's wavelet coefficients was-4.491 0 + 0.457 6i ～ 24.879 6-9.808 2i.Conclusion The wavelet analysis can be used for cockroach study.
