Resistance investigation of field population of Musca domestica to four commonly used insecticides in Changning District of Shanghai City

Abstract：Objective To learn the resistance status of field Musca domestica to dichlorvos,permethrin,dehamethrin and beta-cypermethrin in Changning District and provide scientific evidence for its control.Methods Topical application was used to identify the resistance of Musca domestica.Results Musca domestica developed 38.53,57.72,50.81 and 326.85 fold resistance respectively to permethrin,dichlorvos,deltamethrin and beta-cypermethrin.Conclusion It is necessary to monitor the resistance of Musca domestica and taking suitable method for killing flies.Using insecticides scientifically and reasonbly can prevent and decrease the development of resistance.
