Repellent effect observation of icaridin against Culex pipiens pallens

Abstract：Objective To observe the repellent efficacy of icaridin against Culex pipiens pallens.Methods Evaluating the efficacy of the repellent in laboratory and field based on GB/T 13917.9-2009.Results Laboratory tests showed that the repellent time of mosquito repellent liquid of 20％ icaridin was 10.25 h against Culex pipiens pallens with the quantity of 1.5 μl/cm2,and field evaluations showed that the protection time of 20％ icaridin was 7.66 h.Conclusion Icaridin is an ideal repellent with the advantage of stability,lasting effect and safety in using.
