The application of OruxMaps in constructing national sanitary city secret assessment and urban medical vector management

Abstract：OruxMaps is a free Android GPS app.Field personnel can use OruxMaps to view the user's location on the map and record the user's tracks when doing constructing national sanitary city secret assessment and urban vector management work.Spots not up to hygiene standards found in the fields can be recorded as photos or text waypoints with latitude and longitude information.Tracks and waypoints can be exported as gpx or kml files and viewed and analyzed by Global Mapper,Google Earth,etc.in computers.Gpx or kml files stored in computers can be imported into mobile android devices and displayed in OruxMaps.Apps as OruxMaps can be used to gather field information quickly and improve the work quality by secret assessment experts.OruxMaps is suitable for outdoor mosquito and rodent management surveillances.OruxMaps records inspection routes of surveillances.The lengths of the routes,route indexes for outdoor mosquito and rodent management can be calculated by computers.In order to reduce faking vector surveillances,field personnel in charge of vector surveillances can be demanded to use OruxMaps.The routes and the surveillance status are recorded,which are checked by quality control personnel.Because faking gpx and kml files is infeasible,OruxMaps can be applied in quality control of vector surveillances.
