Abstract:Gliomas, originated from the central nervous system, are a group of malignant tumors with poor prognosis.Early diagnosis of gliomas is still quite challenging.Scholars place high expectations on such non-invasive diagnostic technique as liquid biopsy to improve the situation. This paper is based on a bibliometric analysis of the literatures on liquid biopsy in gliomas retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database, with a time span from January 1,2015 to December 31,2024.It is found that the studies of liquid biopsy in gliomas have developed rapidly and researchers in the US have contributed the largest share of research findings.Scholars interested in this field can pay particular attention to the journals of Neuro-Oncology,Clinical Cancer Research,Oncotarget and Cancers.Louis DN and other scholars have made significant contribution to this research field.Currently, the research hotspots related to liquid biopsy in gliomas are exosomes, biomarkers, and novel combination therapies. This paper summarizes the research status, hotspots and trends of the studies on liquid biopsy in gliomas and provides visualized materials.
