Abstract:Cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)rhinorrhea is one of the most common postoperative complications of neuroendoscopic transnasal approach for pituitary adenoma resection. The risk factors for such postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea are a current hot research topic, though there is still controversy regarding whether these factors influence postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea.By comprehensively analyzing these factors, this paper intends to probe into the mechanism of the occurrence and development of cerebrospinal fluid leakage, which can help doctors take targeted preventive measures and improve the safety and success rate of such surgeries. This paper reviews the risk factors and the current research progress on cerebrospinal fluid nasal leakage after neuroendoscopic resection of pituitary tumors by transnasal approach, which can provide reference for clinical practice.
