Abstract:Heat stroke(HS)is the most severe type of heat illness and is accompanied by central nervous system dysfunction with rapid progression and high mortality.Brain injury is the main cause of nervous system dysfunction, and its mechanism is complex and diverse, which is currently the focus and challenge of research. The current treatment of brain injury lacks specific therapies and has poor efficacy.Hyperbaric oxygen therapy(HBOT)is widely used in clinic practice because of its biological effects such as improving tissue ischemia and hypoxia,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant damage,anti-apoptosis,repairing brain tissue and neurons, and has potential therapeutic effects on brain injury caused by HS.Discussion of the curative effect and mechanism of HS-induced brain injury and HBOT on brain injury can provide reference for further study and application in clinic practice.
