Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of upper limb rehabilitation robot on the cognitive and limb functions of stroke patients with vascular cognitive impairment(VCI).Methods A total of 112 VCI patients with stroke admitted to Navy Qingdao Special Rehabilitation Center from October 2021 to February 2024 were divided into conventional group(n=56)and robot group(n=56)by random number table. The conventional group received conventional rehabilitation intervention, while the robot group received upper limb rehabilitation robot intervention in addition to that of the conventional group.Cognitive function[Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA)score,Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)score],limb function[upper limb Functional Independence Measure(FIM),Fugl-Meyer Assessment for Upper Extremity(FMA-UE)score,modified Barthel Index(MBI)]and attention[Connection Test A(TMT-A),Connection Test B(TMT-B)]were compared. Results After treatment, scores of MoCA and MMSE,FIM,FMA-UE and MBI increased in the two groups, and the indexes in the robot group were higher than those in conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment, the time of MTT-A and MTT-B in the two groups was decreased, and the indexes in robot group were lower than those in conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Upper limb rehabilitation robots can significantly improve cognitive and limb functions, and enhance the quality of life of stroke patients with VCI.
