Comprehensive nursing based on self-transcendence theory in the perioperative period of patients with glioma

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing based on self-transcendence theory in the perioperative period of patients with glioma.Methods A total of 124 patients with glioma admitted to the Tenth Affiliated Hospital,Southern Medical University from November 2020 to October 2024 were randomly divided into two groups by random number table.The control group was given routine nursing,and the observation group was given comprehensive nursing based on self-transcendence theory.The self-transcendence level,self-care ability,negative emotions,and quality of life in two groups were compared.Results After the intervention,the score of Chinese Self-Transcendence Scale(CSTS),the scores of each dimension and the total score of Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale(ESCA),the scores of each dimension and the total score of Generic Quality of Life-74(GQOL-74)in the observation group were higher,and the scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)in the observation group were lower compared with control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive nursing based on self-transcendence theory in the perioperative period of patients with glioma can improve the self-transcendence level,self-care ability,and quality of life,and relieve negative emotions,which has clinical application value.
