Abstract:Objective To investigate the transcriptomic characteristics of diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma(DIPG).Methods A systematic review of publicly available databases was conducted to identify and collect transcriptomic data from DIPG patients.Differential gene expression analyses were performed to compare DIPG tumor tissues with normal brain tissues.Additionally, associations between transcriptomic features and clinical phenotypes of DIPG were explored. Results Multiple neurotransmitter receptor genes(e.g.,CHRNA2,HTR2A)and immune-related genes(e.g.,CCR5,MRC1)were found to be significantly dysregulated in DIPG tissues.Notably, expression levels of the cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction pathway were correlated with the age of disease onset. Conclusion This study systematically reveals key transcriptomic alterations in DIPG,particularly involving neurotransmitter receptor signaling and immune regulatory pathways. These findings provide new molecular insights into the pathogenesis of DIPG and offer potential directions for targeted therapeutic strategies.
