Research progress on stereotactic radiosurgery combined with multidisciplinary treatment of brain metastases

Abstract：Brain metastases are one of the most common types of secondary malignant central nervous system tumours in adults.Given the many available treatment options for patients with brain metastases,a multidisciplinary approach to individualized treatment for every patient is strongly recommended to improve treatment outcomes.Stereotactic radiosurgery has become increasingly important in the comprehensive treatment of brain metastases with the increased research on brain metastases,advances in treatment techniques and emphasis on patient quality of life.This review summarizes the advantages and therapeutic efficacy of stereotactic radiosurgery combined with multidisciplinary treatment for brain metastases and proposes its future development trend.
