A Case of Primary Intracranial Melanoma Misdiagnosed as Cerebral Hemorrhage and a Literature Review
Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment strategies of primary intracranial melanoma. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of a patient with primary intracranial melanoma. The tumor was completely resected via microsurgery, and the clinical manifestations and treatment strategies of primary intracranial melanoma were summarized by reviewing the literature. Results The tumor was completely removed, and postoperative pathology confirmed it as malignant melanoma; after more than four years of follow-up, the patient recovered well without recurrence. Conclusion Primary intracranial melanoma is rare, with non-specific clinical manifestations that are easily misdiagnosed. Treatment primarily involves microsurgical resection, and comprehensive treatment including immunotherapy and radiochemotherapy may improve therapeutic outcomes.
