Abstract:Objective To investigate the preliminary application effect of self-made marker guided intraoperative ultrasonography in the localization and removal of deep brain lesions. Methods A total of 18 cases of deep brain lesion were included, all of which were confirmed by craniocerebral CT and MRI examinations;Among them,13 cases were supratentorial,4 cases were infratentorial, and one case was multiple foci involving both supratentorial and infratentorial structures.Injecting a small amount of normal saline into a sterile surgical rubber glove and tying it with the surgical silk thread to create a water sac as a marker, which was placed inside the surgical incision of brain tissue;Using ultrasound to explore the relative position relationship between the water sac and the lesion, guiding intraoperative ultrasonography to locate, correct the pathway and perform surgical removal of the lesions. Results In this group of 18 cases of deep brain lesion, the self-made rubber water sac markers were used to guide the intraoperative ultrasonography localization, and all lesions were accurately detected, avoiding the phenomenon of"getting lost"during intraoperative exploration and reducing secondary damage to brain tissues. All lesions in this group were completely removed, and the patients'postoperative recovery was smooth without any serious complications. Conclusions Using the self-made rubber water sac markers to guide intraoperative ultrasonography is helpful for precise localization and safe resection of deep brain lesions.
