Abstract:This article reviews the application and progress of C7 nerve root transfer (C7 neurotization) in the treatment of central spastic hemiplegia. Upper limb dysfunction following central nervous system injury is a challenge faced by the medical community. C7 neurotization,by establishing a neural crossover, promotes cortical reorganization and effectively improves patient's upper limb function. The surgical procedure requires precision, and postoperative care and rehabilitation training are crucial for functional recovery. Although this surgical technique has demonstrated good safety and efficacy, further research is needed to optimize surgical techniques, assess long-term outcomes, and explore new surgical methods. Future studies should focus on reducing complications and deepening the understanding of its impact on the central nervous system through neuroimaging technology, with the aim of providing more effective treatment strategies for patients.
