Intratemporal muscle infiltrating lipoma:a case report

Abstract：Objective To investigate the surgical treatment of intratemporal muscle infiltrating lipoma. Methods A case of intratemporal muscle infiltrating lipoma admitted to our department and confirmed by surgery and pathological examination in December 2018 was reported. Results There was no previous report of intratemporal muscle infiltrating lipoma in the literature. The recurrence rate of invasive lipoma was high after treatment. This case was followed up for 5 years without recurrence. Conclusions Radical or extended surgical resection is the main treatment for infiltrative lipoma.
