A Case of Giant Cholesteatoma Crossing the Superior Sagittal Sinus in the Extracranial Dura
Abstract:Intracranial cholesteatoma (IC), also known as epidermoid cyst, is a remnant of ectodermal tissue during embryonic development, and surgical resection is the preferred treatment [1]. IC commonly occurs in the cerebellopontine angle, but can also be found in the sellar region, middle cranial fossa, posterior cranial fossa, etc. [2,3]. There are currently no reports of cholesteatoma crossing the superior sagittal sinus in the extracranial dura.
