Abstract:Objective To analyze the risk factors for hemodynamic suppression after carotid stenting. Methods 142 patients with carotid artery stenosis admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University from January 2018 to December 2022 were divided into non-suppression and suppression groups according to whether or not suppression occurred after the procedure, and logistic regression analysis was performed to explore the influencing factors. Results There were significant differences in stent distal diameter, stent distal-stenosis distal diameter, plaque morphology, plaque characteristics, stent morphology, and stent mesh design in the suppression group.Logistic regression analysis revealed that stent distal diameter(OR=1.541,95%CI=1.104-2.153,P=0.011),eccentric stenosis(OR=2.561,95%CI=1.100-5.965,P=0.029),hyperechoic plaque(OR=5.877,95%CI=1.472-23.462,P=0.012)and open-loop design stenting(OR=3.173,95%CI=1.067-9.436,P=0.038)were the influencing factors of post-procedural hemodynamic suppression. Conclusions Distal stent diameter, eccentric stenosis, hypoechoic plaque, and open-loop design stent are significantly associated with post-procedural hemodynamic suppression events after carotid stenting.
