Abstract:It's quite rare to have acute ischemic stroke patients with anterior cerebral artery occlusion combined with chronic occlusion of the ipsilateral internal carotid artery. And it takes a much longer time to open the internal carotid artery and then perform the anterior cerebral artery thrombectomy, which seriously affects the treatment and prognosis of patients. On January 17,2024,the Stroke Center of Ningnan Hospital of the People's Hospital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region admitted a patient with acute occlusion of the left anterior cerebral artery combined with chronic occlusion of the left internal carotid artery. After angiography evaluation, mechanical thrombectomy was performed by crossing the anterior communicating artery on the right internal carotid artery, and the patient's prognosis was good.Due to the difficulty and risk of performing mechanical thrombectomy by crossing the anterior communicating artery, the medical records of this patient's diagnosis and treatment process were summarized in conjunction with literature reports in order to provide reference for clinical practice.
