Pain management strategies and nursing practices for patients in the neurosurgical intensive care unit

Abstract:As an inevitable part of the surgical and disease process,pain is a common clinical symptom for patients in the neurosurgical intensive care unit(ICU).This study mainly explores the pain management strategies and the effects of nursing practices for patients in the neurosurgical ICU.Sixty-six patients with autonomous consciousness and expression ability were randomly selected and divided into observation and control groups to receive different types of nursing care.The results showed that patients in the observation group performed better in pain scores,anxiety levels,and satisfaction compared to the control group.The research findings indicate that scientific and effective pain management strategies and nursing practices can significantly improve the pain experience,psychological state and satisfaction of patients in the neurosurgical ICU.
