Abstract:To investigate the clinical characteristics and prognostic risk factors of neurofibromatosis type Ⅱ(NF2).Methods The clinical data of 108 patients with NF2 admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery,Beijing Tiantan Hospital,Capital Medical University from 2009 to 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and the risk factors affecting patient prognosis were explored. Results Univariate analysis demonstrated that age, gender, cranial hypertension symptoms, tumor diameter, postoperative intubation, smoking history, and chronic disease exerted no significant influence on the prognosis of patients(P>0.05),whereas the prognosis was significantly impacted by the disease course, the number of tumors, spinal canal occupation, brain stem compression,KPS<70 scores, hypoproteinemia, and CES-D≥16 scores(P<0.05).Multivariate regression analysis indicated that KPS<70 score, hypoproteinemia, and CES-D≥16 score were independent risk factors influencing the prognosis of patients(P<0.05).Conclusions The clinical prognosis of NF2 patients is suboptimal, which is associated with KPS<70,hypoproteinemia,and CES-D.
