Abstract:Objective To develop a questionnaire on the knowledge, attitude and practice of nurses who manage dysphagia patients with posterior fossa tumors, and to test its reliability and validity. Methods Based on the theory of"knowledge, attitude and practice",the initial questionnaire was developed through group discussion, literature review,Delphi expert correspondence and pre-investigation.Objective sampling method was used to choose neurosurgical nurses eligible for inclusion from Secondary-level A and above hospitals in Guizhou Province from October 2023 to January 2024 to do the questionnaire.A total of 430 valid questionnaires were collected, with a recovery rate of 98.17%.Results The 34 items in the questionnaire cover all the aspects of knowledge, attitude and practice of the nurses who manage dysphagia patients with posterior fossa tumors.Cronbach's α coefficient,split-half reliability coefficient and retest reliability coefficient of the questionnaire were 0.957,0.781,0.899 respectively, with the content validity index(I-CVI)at the item level being 0.933-1.000,and the content validity index(S-CVI/Ave)at the questionnaire level being 0.998.Three common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 60.09%.Conclusion The questionnaire shows good reliability and validity, which can reflect the level of knowledge and practice of clinical neurosurgical nurses on dysphagia patients with posterior fossa tumors, and can provide a basis for nursing managers and educators to carry out practical training or construct clinical nursing programs for dysphagia patients with posterior fossa tumors.
