Different therapeutic effects of microvascular decompression in the treatment of typical and atypical trigeminal neuralgia

Abstract:Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of microvascular decompression in patients with typical and atypical trigeminal neuralgia.Methods The database was retrieved,and the quality of the included studies was evaluated.The postoperative efficacy of the two types of patients was analyzed by Review Manage.Results The immediate pain relief rate,5-year pain relief rate and cure rate of patients with typical trigeminal neuralgia were higher,and the recurrence rate of patients with atypical trigeminal neuralgia was higher.Conclusion After microvascular decompression,patients with typical trigeminal neuralgia are more likely to obtain pain relief.
