Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effectiveness of cone cranial and borehole cranial double-catheter drainage for acute exacerbation of chronic subdural hematoma under CT localization. Methods Fifty-six patients in the stage of acute exacerbation of chronic subdural hematoma were recruited.According to surgical approaches, these participants were divided into control group(n=25)and observation group(n=31).Under CT localization, the observation group underwent cone cranial double-catheter placement for drainage, while the control group received borehole drainage with dual-catheter placement.Postoperatively, urokinase was infused into the hematoma cavity to facilitate drainage.Therapeutic efficacy and rehabilitation between the two groups were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the overall effective rate between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).The observation group demonstrated statistically significant advantages over the control group in terms of the average incision length, average intraoperative blood loss, and average operation time(P<0.05).Conclusions CT localization of both cone cranial and borehole double-catheter drainage could localize accurately and achieve remarkable results.Nevertheless, the former was characterized by simpler operation, minimal invasive surgery under local anesthesia, shorter surgical duration, reduced patient discomfort, and superior outcomes in comparison with the latter.
