Application of standardized patients in clinical noviciate teaching of acute abdomen

Abstract：Objective The standardized patient (SP) teaching is used to investigate the role of SP in clinical noviciate teaching of acute abdomen in Department of General Surgery.Methods All of 60 students were assigned into experimental teaching group and conventional teaching group.We used SP in experimental teaching group.The teaching effectiveness was evaluated with the examination and questionnaire.Results The students in experimental teaching group were obviously superior to those in conventional teaching group.Conclusion Using the standardized patients can significantly improve the effects on clinical teaching of acute abdomen.
