Abstract:Objective The relationship between miR-144-3p and the development and prognosis of glioma were studied. Methods A total of 50 tissue samples of glioma with different cell types and grades were obtained from patients in Department of Neurosurgery of Xijing Hospital.Different cell lines of human glioma (human cortical neuron-2,HCN-2,U251,U87MG) were cultured and the cells were collected.miR-144-3p in the tissue samples and cell lines were isolated and the levels of miR-144-3p were detected by quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Results The results revealed that miR-144-3p was differentially expressed in normal tissues and glioma tissues. There was a negative correlation between the expression levels of miR-144-3p and the severities of grades of glioma. Moreover, the levels of miR-144-3p were positively related to the survival days in patients with glioma. Conclusion MiR-144-3p is highly conserved in mammalian. It may be used as an indicator to the prognosis of patients with glioma.
