Abstract：Objective The significance of multidisciplinary education for the training of complex talents in Department of Neurosurgery and brain science was explored.Methods By considering the history of Department of Neurosurgery and brain science development and the latest research progress,the importance of interdisciplinary and its innovative results were analyzed.Results Both in the past and at present,neurosurgery played an important role in the development of neuroscience.Neurosurgery not only raised the important questions but also provided the technical support for brain science.At the same time,modem Department of Neurosurgery was also highly dependent on the development of basic science,mathematics,computers and other natural sciences.Actually,many innovative achievements of great significance came from the comprehensive integration of multi-disciphne.Conclusion It is of great significance to promote the development of neurosurgery and brain science by practicing and exploring interdisciplinary training of compound talents.
