Abstract:Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of the Lvis stentassisted coiling of intracranial tiny wide-necked aneurysns. Methods Forty-five patients with intracranial tiny widenecked aneurysns who were treated by Lvis stent-assisted coiling in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Gender, age, location, size, rupture or not of aneurysms, procedure achievement ratio and the correlated complication were recorded and analyzed,Results They were 35 male and 10 female, whose mean age was (51.8 ± 5.2) years old. There were 29 aneurysms in the antero-circulation and 16 aneurysms in the post-circulation,average size of which was (2.05 ±0.72) mm.There were 36 rupture and 9 unrupture aneurysms.Procedure achievement ratio was 100%.There were 1 aneurysm rupture hemorrhage during the procedure, and 1 secondary cerebral infarction who remained hemiparesis after the procedure.Condusion The endovascular treatment of intracranial tiny wide-necked aneurysms with the Lvis stent is safe and effective to prevent coil protrusion and complete occlusion.
