Abstract:Objective The effect of operative position on chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) after borehole drainage was discussed. Methods A total of 136 cases of CSDH patients were randomly divided into supine position group (66 cases) and lateral position group (70 cases). The intracranial pneumatosis, subdural effusion and hematoma recurrence of two groups after operation were compared and analyzed. Results The intracranial pneumatosis volume of lateral position group was less than that of supine position group (P < 0.05).The subdural effusion volume of lateral position group was less than that of supine position group (P>0.05).Compared to supine position group, the hematoma recurrence rate was lower in lateral position group (P >0.05).Condusion Operative position plays an important role in the treatment of CSDH.Taking the lateral position can significantly reduce the incidence of post-operative complicatiom.
