Abstract:Objective The effects and complications of two anesthetic methods for endoscopic nasal pituitary tumor resection were discussed. Methods A total of 52 American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Ⅰ ~ Ⅱ cases who performed endoscopic nasal pituitary tumor resection were enrolled into the study.Under the monitoring of Narcotrend,Sevoflurane-remifentanil anesthesia (Group S) and Propofol target controlled infusion (TCI)-remifentanil anesthesia method (Group P) were used in the cases randomly. The changes of mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were observed, and the time of opening eyes and post-operative complications were recorded. Results There was no significant difference in mean arterial pressure, heart rate, the opening eyes and the post-operative complications between two groups (P >0.05).There was significant difference in mean arterial pressure and heart rate between two groups (P <0.05).Conclusion Two anesthetic techniques can be used safely in the neurosurgery operation, and the intra-operative hemodynamic is stable and the recovery is rapid.
