Clinical efficacy of compound Danshen dripping pill combined with anti-epilepsy drugs for the treatment of traumatic epilepsy

Abstract：Objective The clinical effect of compound Danshen dripping pill combined with anti-epilepsy drugs on the treatment of traumatic epilepsy and the inflammatory factors and biochemical indices are discussed.Methods A total of 95 volunteers with traumatic epilepsy were enrolled in the study who were admitted to Xijing Hospital from June 2012 to June 2016 and all the cases were randomly divided into 2 groups,in which the control group was treated with antiepileptic drugs (47 cases),and the combination treatment group was given compound Danshen dropping pill combined with anti-epileptic drug therapy (48 cases).After treatment for 6 months,the effect of two groups was compared,and the changes of inflammatory factors and biochemical indices before and after treatment were detected in both two groups.Results The total effective rote in the combination group was higher than that in the control group (P ＜0.05);the levels of CRP,IL-6,and TNF-alpha at combined attack and post-treatment were lower than those in control group (P ＜0.05);levels of NO,T-AOC,MDA at combined attack and post-treatment were better than those of control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of compound Danshen dripping pill combined with anti epileptic drug treatment is significant,which reduces the inflammatory reaction and improves the clinical symptoms of patients with traumatic epilepsy.
