Abstract:Objective The MRI features and pathological features of the solid intracranial hemangioblastoma are discussed. Methods The MRI data of 10 cases of solid hemangioblastoma confirmed by operation and pathology were analyzed retrospectively. Results There were 8 tumors located in the infratentorial cerebellum, 1 case in the fourth ventricle and 1 case in orbital.MRI showed a soft tissue masses with clear boundary;equal or slightly low signal on T1 WI, equal or slightly high signal on T2 WI;the space-occupying effect was obvious with slight edema;multiple abnormal vessels were observed in tumor and peritumor;MRI enhancement scanning showed the solid tumors were significantly enhanced. Conclusion The incidence of the solid hemangioblastoma is very low, but MR performance is of characteristic.MRI examination facilitates the tumor positioning and qualitative diagnosis.
