Abstract:Candida albicans is the main pathogen causing invasive fungal infections in humans.Invasive fungal infections are of great clinical concern because of their high mortality.Fluconazole is the most commonly used antifungal drug in clinical practice. However, with the widespread use of fluconazole, the resistance to fluconazole has increased year by year, and the resistance mechanism shows diversity and complexity.Traditional Chinese medicine has the characteristics of low toxicity, broad spectrum,multi-target,low price and difficult to induce drug resistance.A large number of studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine can regulate multiple fluconazole resistance targets to play a potential role in the treatment of Candida albicans resistant strains, and can also enhance the antibacterial effect of existing azole antifungal drugs and reverse drug resistance. This article reviews the mechanism of natural traditional Chinese medicine targeting fluconazole resistance in Candida albicans,in order to provide theoretical basis for the development of azole antifungal sensitization therapy based on the monomer components of traditional Chinese medicine.
