Abstract:Takayasu arteritis is a systemic vasculitis characterized by chronic nonspecific inflammation of the aorta and its major branches.Current clinical guidelines recommend the use of high-dose glucocorticoids combined with immunosuppressants to achieve remission induction, dose reduction and disease control.Although the international and domestic guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of Takayasu arteritis list a variety of immunosuppressive agents for the initial treatment stage,no clear drug preferred regimen has been established. This article systematically reviews the efficacy and safety characteristics of immunosuppressive agents commonly used in clinical practice in the treatment of Takayasu arteritis,in order to provide reference for clinical decision-making and reasonable selection of immunosuppressive agents.
