Abstract:Pulmonary arterial hypertension(PAH)is a kind of cardiovascular disease characterized by progressive proliferation of small pulmonary arteries leading to increased pulmonary vascular pressure and resistance, which leads to right heart failure and even global heart failure.Currently,PAH-targeted drugs used in clinical practice mainly include endothelin receptor antagonists, phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors, guanylate cyclase agonists, prostacyclin analogues and their receptor agonists, etc.Clinically, for patients with negative acute vasodilator tests, single or two or more targeted drugs are selected for treatment according to the course of disease and risk stratification.A number of studies at home and abroad have shown that the combination therapy of targeted drugs has significant value for improving the existing symptoms and delaying the progression of the disease, but the relevant research data in children with PAH are still limited. This review will discuss the prognosis and limitations of combination therapy with targeted drugs for PAH in children.
